SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) is a “robust and effective food safety certification scheme, appropriate for smaller food producers." Approval is only granted by SALSA to those suppliers able to demonstrate safe and legal food production and a commitment to continually meeting the required standards.
Our SALSA Journey
As a small, artisan producer of high quality jam, jelly, relish, chutney and marmalade, we constantly strive to adapt and improve our business, consistently looking for ways in which to demonstrate our exceptional standard and commitment to quality.
Our SALSA journey began back in 2017 when we first recognised the value a globally recognised, SALSA accreditation would bring to our business. When we expanded the following year, with the purchase of the Fruity Kitchen brand, we began to pursue our quest for approval.
After undergoing a rigorous audit we are absolutely delighted and immensely proud to have achieved SALSA accreditation. Approval not only gives our customers peace of mind it opens up further opportunities for our small business and we’re very much looking forward to the future as we continue to do the job we love.
